At 2:35 a.m., service from the CBN’s primary internet provider went down. The CBN standby technician opened a service repair request with the provider. At 5:05 a.m., the CBN received notification from the provider that the issue was a “major outage impacting multiple customers including this location”. Service was restored at 5:15 a.m.
UPDATE: Service was briefly interrupted again at 7:15 a.m. Service from the primary provider was down again for less than 1 minute.
Impact to our customers would have been minor, as upstream internet service continued to route through our secondary provider normally. CBN staff will continue to monitor the situation until full resolution.
