Power failure causes service outage – 2016/06/25

At, 7:35 p.m., North Glenwood Springs experienced a power outage that affected the CBN’s location at City Hall.  Initially, the CBN’s UPS was able to handle the load.

At approximately, 9:15 p.m., the CBN experienced a power overload which caused a temporary power outage within the City Hall data center.  Service was restored within 10 minutes.

At 9:45 p.m., the CBN experienced a second loss of power from the UPS.  As a result, all services were unavailable from 9:45 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. when power was restored to City Hall.

The CBN’s UPS vendor was able to repair the UPS at 11:45 and the availability of battery backup resumed.

CBN staff will continue to monitor the situation.
